When you arrive in Thessaloniki and visit Nikis Avenue, the first significant and eye-catching sight from a distance is the White Tower. It’s a crucial part of the history of Thessaloniki and all of Greece. I walked along the avenue, camera in hand, taking pictures from afar to up close to the White Tower, learning a lot about this tourist attraction with a history filled with pain and valuable lessons. It was rush hour, with people heading back home after work while others enjoyed the sea view, taking photos, fishing, or just sitting and enjoying the scenery. Some were on evening boat cruises in the Aegean Sea. The Golden Hour on the Aegean Sea was amazing that day. Read more..
